Lymphatic drainage

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

It is a very beneficial and non-invasive form of equine massage whether you have a leisure or competition horse.

The lymphatic system is an extensive system of vessels and nodes which helps in maintaining the correct fluid balance within the body.

What does it do?

Lymphatic drainage massage removes toxins from the body and is helpful for allergy treatments and swelling reduction in lymph and any injured area. Lymphatic drainage can speed recovery in affected horses. It helps with

  • acute laminitis
  • improved recovery after some injuries, tendon conditions, skin conditions
  • reduction in recovering time after strenuous exertion

Manual lymph drainage technique is used to facilitate the movement of lymph flow which is directed towards the nearest lymph node. It drains waste products, assists in detoxification and drains other types of metabolic and cellular debris away from the body via the lymphatic system.
